The American Eagle Silver Dollar is the official one-dollar coin produced by the US Mint. It was on November 24, 1986 when the first such coin was released by the US Mint. Certified for their weight, content, and purity by the US Mint, the Silver Eagles’ have been produced at three mints namely the San Francisco Mint, the West Point Mint and the Philadelphia Mint.
